EVENT DETAILS
Attendees can look forward to enjoying two days of musical talent from diverse genres, and can even get involved themselves! Friday’s Kickoff Party will feature a performance from the Love.Craft band, followed by an evening of Live Band Karaoke, where anyone can be the star. Saturday will boast an impressive lineup of musical acts across two stages running 1-11 PM. Both days will include food trucks, delicious beer and spirits, and the community focus you’ve come to expect from Normaltown Music Festival.
We are excited to announce that Saturday’s headliner is Upchuck, an Atlanta-based punk band who are characterized by their raw sound and energetic and angry live sets. The band, made up of vocalist KT, drummer Chris Salgado, guitarists Mikey Durham and Hoff, and bassist Ausar Ward, has released three albums. Their most recent release, I’m Nice Now, channels their feverishness into an album that is filled with rage and delivers a sharp critique of the powers that be.

Friday will feature the Love.Craft Band – a band that is redefining what music can do for a community of people who are often overlooked in this world. The Love.Craft Band is composed of adults with intellectual disabilities teaming up with neurotypical bandmates to create one of the most unique, inspiring, and entertaining musical acts around.

“Athentic is thrilled to host the 4th Annual Normaltown Music Festival! The weekend is set to be full of phenomenal music, great beer and spirits, and cheer-worthy camaraderie that supports and celebrates our vibrant community. With continued growth, we are looking forward to welcoming attendees and giving even more to our beloved Athens,” says Katie Wallace, the Brand Director at Athentic Brewing Company.

As we’ve continued to grow over the past 4 years, we’ve realized there’s one area we’d love to play in that hasn’t been accessible to us. Until now! We’re delighted to share that we are partnering with the brand new Drayton Distillery to bring craft spirits to our ever-growing list of taproom and to-go offerings!
This will be a unique collaboration with a focus on craft, creativity, and consumer experience. Gregory Evans will be distilling the spirits in our facility, resulting in a seamless integration that allows us to deliver the best in craft beverages directly to you!

Gregory is an entrepreneur driven by a passion for craftsmanship, innovation, and the pursuit of excellence. He has been pursuing a career in craft spirits since 2009 with experience including creating unique fruited brandies starting with plums from his own tree, attending the Institute of Brewing and Distilling, working with an alcohol importer, and more.
Lightning struck when Gregory and Paul met in 2023. We had been looking for a way into the spirits side of things and Gregory was looking for a way to take his distilling full-time. Gregory’s years of experience, attention to detail, commitment to quality, and vision of creating exceptional craft spirits positions him and Drayton Distilling as the logical next step for us to continue crafting good times!

We are are beginning production this fall with a full launch later this year. We plan to kick things off with a vodka, an agave spirit, and a white rum and are excited to develop our full line of spirits from there!
In order to fully live this dream, we are looking to our community. We are where we are today because of our community support and we strive to give back to our community in all that we do. Our partnership with Drayton Distillery builds upon that collaboration and commitment. If you’ve been with us since the beginning, then you’ll hopefully remember how much it meant to us to get people involved before the official opening of Athentic. We’re looking to continue that collaborative foundation with the launch of Drayton Distillery.
On the page linked below you will find a list of support tiers and the exclusive thank you gifts that go along with each of them. We’d be grateful if you would take a look and consider helping us make this new venture the best it can be!
Drayton Distillery Support Tiers
We are extremely proud of this next step and look forward to having you on this journey with us! Stay tuned!
Sincerely,
Paul Skinner, Mark Johnson, and Gregory Evans
